The Ayrshire Growth Deal is the first to be funded by the Scottish and UK Governments to prioritise a non-city region, and puts inclusive growth at its centre to ensure continued economic development. Funding is also being contributed by North, South and East Ayrshire Councils.

North Ayrshire locations benefitting from the Ayrshire Growth Deal include:
- i3 Irvine Enterprise Area: Providing a Centre of Excellence for digital automation and flexible advanced manufacturing space
- Hunterston: Developing a site with a critical role in Scotland’s Energy, Blue Economy, Offshore Wind and the Circular Economy futures
- Ardrossan Waterfront: Infrastructure ensuring the Firth of Clyde is recognised as an exemplar in the Blue Economy and marine sustainability
- The Great Harbour: Regenerating Irvine Harbourside and Beach Park including work to create a new visitor destination, the Maritime Mile
- Isles of Arran & Cumbrae: Creating marine infrastructure that supports tourism, businesses and communities
