An Invitation from North Ayrshire Council to the Launch of Scotland’s First Community Wealth Building Strategy

Broadcast on North Ayrshire Council’s Facebook Page  on Thursday 14th May at 6.30pm.

We would like to invite you to join us for the live launch of our Community Wealth Building strategy. This bold, new economic approach will see us using our financial powers to create a more resilient local economy with fair jobs for local people and one which ensures that money and wealth stay local.

North Ayrshire Council will be the first local authority in Scotland to launch a Community Wealth Building approach. It will drive our economic recovery efforts post COVID-19, as we build back our economy to be better and fairer.

Hosted by our Leader Councillor Joe Cullinane, it will feature a panel of internationally recognised Community Wealth Building experts. You can hear from Matthew Brown, Leader of Preston City Council, Neil McInroy, Centre for Local Economic Strategies and Sarah McKinley from The Democracy Collaborative and providing a local perspective Donna Fitzpatrick from Fullarton Community Hub, Irvine.

Now more than ever we all need to work together, so we hope you take this opportunity to join us, ask questions and get involved.
